Adelaide - 27-29 September 2009
Later in the year, I have to drive into the desert in South Australia along Epic Energy's Moomba to Adelaide pipeline as part of the PC deployment project. In preparation for that, I was sent to Adelaide to do some 4WD training. I decided to go a day earlier to check out the sights of Adelaide. Although there for work, touring around in a rental car and 4WD training seemed more like fun to me so I treated it as an all expenses paid holiday!
Overlooking Adelaide from Mount Lofty.
My ride for the trip.
Beautiful countryside along the road from Flaxley to Strathalbyn.
Goolwa Beach. Unlike Victoria, in SA, you can drive along the beach.
Sun breaking through the clouds between Cape Jervis and Rapid Bay.
River Torrens with the Adelaide CBD in the background.
4WD training at Port Gawler.
I had a couple hours to kill before I had to get on the plane, so I did a sport stadium tour.
Football Park in West Lakes.
The Clipsal Powerhouse/Distinctive Homes Dome, home of the 36ers.
Hindmarsh Stadium, home of the Adelaide Scum, I mean Reds.
