Upper Jamieson Hut and Eagle Peaks - 8-10 March 2014
This is where we went; Taungurung Country.

It wasn't the best start to the walk as we couldn't find the track leading from the river but you could be lost in worse places.

Finally, we found the track.

A rather large obstacle.

Given the time we had already lost and with the track badly overgrown, we decided to turn around and walk to Eagle Peaks from Eight Mile Gap.

Taking the river back to camp.

The Jamieson River and its tranquil surrounds.

Crossing the Jamieson River en route to Eight Mile Gap.
There were a few of these guys around.

The first glimpse of Eagle Peaks.

The Jamieson Valley below and the ridge we would've walked up.

Mt Eadley Stoney and The Bluff.

The final climb up to Eagle Peaks.

The summit.

Spectacular views.

Mt Darling and The Governor with Lickhole Gap (yes you read that correctly) in the foreground.

Looking back along the ridge towards Eight Mile Gap.

Kicking back by the fire.
